Renewable Energy Credits

Renewable Energy Credits (RECs),  sometimes referred to as Certificates or Green Tags.

The REC’s represent proof that electricity was generated from an eligible renewable energy resource that was fed into our electric grid. For example every kilowatt-hour you consume, one kilowatt-hour of renewable energy in a form of a REC comes onto the power grid  Up to 100% of your electricity can be offset by these REC’s.  The credits can help fund new projects or pay for existing projects.

Relay Power has a REC’s program and more info can be found here.

We also worked with Mass Energy Consumer Alliance and it’s Green Switch program.
